“For six consecutive years Shearman & Sterling, a firm with approximately 1,000 attorneys, has sponsored The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition – one of the largest such competitions in the world. Final rounds were held in Washington, DC, with more than 80 countries and 500 law schools participating. The preliminary national rounds took place over the first quarter of 2008 in various countries. The YHA (Your Honor Awards) judges gave first-place honors to the firm’s work, calling it and the competition ‘superb.’”
